Points Giveaway: Spread the Word about LFTRs!(Scroll to the bottom to see the giveaway rules.)
I have recently learned about an alternative energy source that is clean, safe, and reliable, that would replace the use of uranium nuclear reactors around the world. This energy source is known as a Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor, called LFTR (pronounced like "lifter") for short. (For more info, please read my more detailed journal.)
Why am I making a points giveaway about this? Because I believe energy is paramount to the success of the future. I want to get the word out about this so we can bring about changes to the way things are done. It doesn't matter where you live or how old you are; you have the power to make a difference simply by telling people you know about this.
Tell your friends, siblings, parents, relatives, teachers, coworkers, and random people in the bus. Talk about it on Twitter and Facebook, and show your fellow Deviants that the

As artists, we have visions of the future. We dream of ways to make this world a better place to live. But what are we doing about it? What actions are we taking to make our dreams into reality? How are we improving the world?
There are constant wars over the ownership and distribution of oil. Solar and wind power, while clean alternatives, are sporadic and unreliable. Coal and natural gas cause unhealthy levels of pollution. We need a source of energy that is constant, clean, and safe.
Does the thought of nuclear energy make you shudder? Uranium is the fuel of choice for modern nuclear reactors, but it's proven to be dangerous, not to mention guilty of producing highly toxic wastes and being used in devastating weapons. Knowing this, it's no surprise that we're afraid of what the future holds.
But what if we used a different source of nuclear energy: Thorium? A single kilogr
