Random Characters 4

Yay, more characters! In no particular order, I will now dump their information on you!

Kyle is a character I designed myself. You might remember him if you've been watching me like forever. [link] [link] He's an old character that I recently redesigned; toning down his colors, removing the hat, and giving him some cool sleeves. He's from the same story as Vora, although I've been changing lots of things and I don't know when they will be solid enough to write about. (These things take time, you know?)

Theodore is another old character, only now I have a design for him! He has gone through SO MUCH evolution ever since I first made him up in 2007; he might be the most changed character I've ever made up. Anyways, here is some info on Theo:

Gender: Male
Age: 13 or 14
Personality: Shy, cheerful, sensitive, weak-willed, indecisive, compassionate, attentive, obliging, gullible, helpless, squeamish, trusting
Backstory: He's the nephew of one of my other characters, Shanna Forrester (she got married, which is why their last names are different). He has a leg problem (not sure yet if it's because he was in a car accident or if it's genetic) and has to walk around on crutches a lot of the time, but sometimes he only has to use a cane. Shanna, a healer, opened up her home to him so that she could try and find a cure.
So he lives there, and since Shanna's husband has a lot of visitors and their home is also a huge boarding home, Theodore is never lonely for long. He makes friends with the genius girl next door (who makes all kinds of little inventions to keep him company) and a young soldier (whose hands were blown off in war and is being forced to recuperate at the Home where Shanna can keep an eye on him).}

Bonus: If you read all that, you might be surprised to know that both the "genius girl" and "young soldier" are in sketchdumps in my gallery; one in scraps and the other in my sketchdumps folder. Good luck figuring out who they are!

Now for the redheaded girl up there who's doing her best fairy impression:

Gender: Female (duh)
Age: 16 or 17
Personality: Ambitious, judgmental, impatient, caustic, insecure, dutiful, proud, critical, flippant, independent, honest, outspoken, purposeful, reserved, selfish
Backstory: Growing up in a dog-eat-dog environment was not the best preparation for getting along well with others. But since Ashlin became a Tree Guardian, she has had more dealings with people she would like to consider allies. However, her own pride combined with insecurity about her social skills keeps her from forming friendships. In order to keep from feeling depressed about it, she overworks herself, achieving hollow victories and empty words of praise.}


Next is the dark-skinned girl who's running late!

age: 14
Personality: She's outgoing and friendly, but tends to go along with the crowd too much and doesn't question anything. She's very vulnerable to peer pressure, and has a skewed self-image due to reading too many teen fashion magazines. (She dyes her hair a lot in order to keep with the current fashion, but her parents have drawn the line at getting her body dyed.)
Backstory: Prima was born on a space station city, where everything was filtered through media and marketing. She fell for it like everyone else, and was raised on commercials and ads to be a consumer for the rest of her life. This all changed one day when her aunt (with permission of her exasperated parents) whisked her away aboard her spaceship, and now Prima has to adjust to a new way of life.
likes/dislikes: She likes to shop and try new things, and she spends most of her money on clothes and accessories. She hates restrictions, curfews, and the way her parents look down on her "taste" in clothing and choice of "friends".}


The green-haired dude up there looking all irritated at Rebecca's questions is in fact a part of Prima's story. (Note the sci-fi look.)

Age: 15 or 16
Personality: Serious, tolerant, pessimistic, detached, studious, wary, hesitant, pensive, resourceful, dextrous, diligent, innovative, passive-aggressive, meticulous, intense, evasive, doubtful
Backstory: Rane was one of the few people of Prima's generation who thought that their way of life was somehow wrong. He reads many old relics from the student library about life on Old Earth, and discovers a deep-seated longing to return to the Old Ways. He wants to run away from his home on the Space Port orbiting Tarandi VII, and maybe join a colony ship headed out to Neo Anglovia.}


And of course there's Rebecca, the curious girl who is probably not endearing herself to anyone with her probing questions. XD (Yes, Rane dyed his hair dark green!)

And last but not least, Todd the Bunny-boy! (I'm sorry, there's just something oddly hilarious about the word "bunny-boy"; say it out loud and you'll know what I mean.)

Age: somewheres between 18 and 21
Personality: Clumsy, apologetic, cheeky, energetic, nosy, daring (he's definitely the "Double-Dog Dare" type), easily panicked, excitable, fidgety, fun-loving, thoughtless, awkward, awkward, and did I mention awkward? XD
Backstory: He's actually Cider's first cousin, no times removed. (Yeah, it's complicated.) In spite of their differences, Todd really does mean well, and tries to be helpful to Cider. However, "helpful" and "clumsy" don't mix well, and poor Todd ends up with more trouble than anything else. But hey, what are family for?
Other: Todd loves parties, and he even has a pick up line! "Hey there, babe, did you know I'm half lion on my mother's side?" (So far it hasn't worked too well for him. XD)}
